Zoe K. Coburn (Branson)
LVA Graduate 2000
Major: Piano
I graduated from Las Vegas Academy (LVA) in 2000 as a piano major, where I was also a member of the National Honor Society and involved in Rainbow Company Children’s Theater. I received a math scholarship from LVA and graduated as salutatorian.
I attended Whitman College, earning a double major in Spanish and Economics while studying abroad in Spain. After college, I worked as a legal assistant before enrolling in law school at UNLV in 2006. I graduated in 2009, aspiring to join the District Attorney’s office. However, due to a hiring freeze during the recession, I accepted a judicial clerkship instead.
I passed the Bar exam in 2009 and began my legal career in corporate law and litigation, transitioning to employment law defense in 2016. Now, as a shareholder at Littler Mendelson, P.C., I focus exclusively on labor and employment law, representing employers.
I credit much of my success to my background in theater and music, which honed my communication skills and ability to advocate effectively in court. I’m married and a proud mother of two daughters who are exploring piano, enjoying music in a more casual way than I did.
Reflecting on my journey, I’m grateful for the diverse experiences that have shaped my career and personal life, from the stage to the courtroom, and for the opportunity to inspire my children’s love for music.
